It appears that I’ve finally hit the threshold of how long I can keep the basil in the infinity dome. It probably doesn’t help that I was using rain water which may have gotten contaminated over time. I’m now encountering some mold growth (I expected this to happen).
It is now time to transplant the basil outdoors and see if they will be able to survive. Will post an update on their transition outdoors.

I was wondering what the goal was. Threshold of how long it’s feasible is as good a goal as any. Gonna run another test with different water or some other change or what’s the next project?
Wash them with H2O2! It should kill the mold without harming the basil. I used to spray micro greens with ~5% H2O2 on the first and 3rd day of the grow and never saw any problems with the plants and it seemed to completely eliminate mold.
