From new roofing and solar solutions to hot tubs and garage upgrades, the Colorado Springs Home & Garden Show returns to the Norris-Penrose Event Center for a three-day weekend, showcasing local and regional home improvement experts.

The event runs Friday, Feb. 6, from noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road.

Admission is $5 for adults, with free entry for children under 18, offering homeowners and renters a chance to compare services and connect directly with professionals.

Vendors will be set up in 10-by-10 booths, featuring visuals of their work, possible demonstrations and contact information for follow-up consultations.

This year’s show will host a range of exhibitors, including Solar Design of Colorado, Sprinklers Inc. & Landscaping, Deck Works, QC Colorado and Dun-Rite Home Improvements, among others.

Among this year’s returning exhibitors is Colorado Springs Garage Floors, owned by Steve Allen, who has worked in the garage coating industry for more than 16 years.

“At these events, some people want to be social and hang out,” Allen said. “Some people are looking specifically, and others don’t even know what’s available. If you want to organize your garage and use the space efficiently, that’s where we come in.”

Allen’s team will display samples of garage floor coatings in various colors and finishes, along with cabinets, shelving and other overhead storage options.

“We’re in a slow time of year because of the cold weather, and people don’t think they can get this done at any time of the year,” Allen said. “We can install year-round. So it’s just an educational thing, connecting with people and letting them know what their options are.”

For Mile High Hot Tubs owner Kyler Frey, weather also plays a role in how customers imagine upgrading their homes.

“Our Artesian factories’ original designs are made for the harshest climates on the globe, such as low temperatures,” Frey said. “So Colorado is a pretty good option compared to other climates these are sold in.”

Mile High Hot Tubs offers models that include Artesian designs and eco-friendly, sustainable options. Frey said his business has attended home and garden events for over 20 years.

“It’s kind of fun hearing customers’ excitement about making this purchase,” Frey said. “For a lot of folks, buying this is a kind of life-changing purchase. Some people have been saving up for a while, so you can feel their excitement and their energy. It’s special.”

Another vendor, Petrali Roofing, is offering a free upgrade to Class 4 impact-resistant shingles for any roof repair or replacement booked during the show.

“We like to get out to these events and hope that the consistency of seeing our name conveys that we’re a local and reliable presence,” Petrali Roofing Business Development Manager Shea Suess said.

Several vendors plan to offer in-person discounts and event-only specials, giving attendees access to everything from backyard upgrades to interior transformations, all under one roof.
