If you want a branch there, leave it! If you don’t want a branch there, cut it off!
You could prune it back to a stump and it’d regrow without much issue! It’s nearly impossible to kill a healthy fiddle by pruning.
I see you have it in a nursery pot inside of a decortive pot. Make sure to water it well and give it plenty of water. Just make sure it’s never sitting in water for more than a day or so and don’t water it again until the soil is nice and dry again. When you next repot, you should put it in a normal pot with a drainage hole and a drainage tray.
