We have had a very warm winter in Utah. It was over 60 degrees today (Feb 8). My lawn really struggled last season (it just gets cooked by the sun no matter how much I fertilize/watered it.

I was out in the backyard with my kids, and I’m becoming worried that I am going to have to start all over and reseed. One thing I’ve noticed is that it grows better in the areas with more shade.

What do we think….am I screwed?

Looks like dormant grass to me, which is normal this time of year.

I would say it actually looks pretty good for this time of year. It just looks dormant. But it looks smooth and I don’t see many weeds either.
