I have been gifted a monstera that was looking a bit rough. I've been watering it and it has grown 2 new healthy leaves. But I'm a bit lost as to what to do next.

I've staked it, but not sure if it's right? Do I need to tie new leaves to the stake?

Do i need to cut off old dying leaves?

Is there 2 plants here? do i need to separate?

I would let it chill for a while! Spring/summers coming so in coming weeks if you want to cut off the leaves etc I would then! Doesn’t look like it needs to be separated IMO

have you been rotating it in the light? monsteras have a front and back

not an expert, but i would definitely get a grow light. it does not seem to be getting enough sun where it is now. i would keep the dying leaves on as well, they will help the other parts of the plant grow. i usually cut off dying leaves when they are mostly yellow/ brown. you should also repot it and make sure you have enough perlite in the mixture. it looks like it might just be one plant and that stem is just connected to the main plant beneath the soil. if you end up repotting, i’d do some research on moss poles because as it grows, it may be too heavy to hold itself up
