Dobbies has launched its transformed food hall in Brighton, one of the first in a planned rollout across 47 of its stores.

The new look is part of a wider investment in the Brighton store and is designed to reflect customer feedback, focusing on improving both the range of products and the overall shopping experience.

Jason Cowell, general manager at Dobbies Brighton, said: “The foodhall is one of the most popular areas in the store and an important part of our garden centre experience.

“We’ve been working hard on the new format that’s inspired by a cottage kitchen garden and brings together essentials, treats and seasonal variety through a range of both popular and new brands.

“We’re excited to welcome customers in to see the new ranges and try them for themselves.”

The new food hall launched on Thursday, February 5, and includes more than 2,000 products.

Among the offerings are Dobbies’ famous scones and tray bakes, alongside new arrivals such as Botham’s of Whitby and Patteson’s.

The store features brand favourites like Bonbons, Lindt and Tony’s Chocolonely.

Customers will find a wide range of chilled deli foods, including cheeses, meats, olives and dips.

Supporting pantry staples will include biscuits for cheese, sharing bags of crisps and snacks, nuts and dried fruits and foods from around the world.

Visitors will also find premium frozen foods from brands such as Cook, FieldGoods and Supper Club, as well as ice cream from Jude’s.

The updated food hall also features an expanded selection of gift foods and drinks, including alcoholic beverages and premium soft drinks.

Gift ideas range from gin gift packs to all-natural handmade beverages from Hullabaloo.

A series of introductory offers are available to 31 March, including 30 per cent off Farmhouse biscuits and Belgid’Or chocolates, and 20 per cent off Coolmore cakes.

To celebrate the opening weekend, customers will have the chance to sample selected products, and one visitor will win a hamper filled with selected products.
