Was gifted this plant for Christmas, and although I love house plants I only have one cactus type plant which I’ve been able to keep alive for years due to the low maintenance.

This had a semi-yellowed leaf upon receiving it and unfortunately now has a couple more. I’ve been watering it about every 2 weeks for fear of overwatering or causing root rot. I’ve been judging it based off first 1-2inches of soil being completely dry.

We’re in the Midwest so warmth and sunlight aren’t super favorable right now. I have it in our back room which receives bright, indirect light from the back door window which faces east.

Looking for any tips to hopefully not kill it! Thank you!

This looks like a monstera Peru. Only water when top few inches are dry. Make sure it’s in a chunky fast draining soil mix. Give bright indirect light. If you grab a coco coir pole or trellis and attach her vines to it with plant Velcro she will happily climb
