It's been one month since I sowed the Icy Malgan Mix seeds (post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/echeveria/comments/1q6u6v8/icy_malgan_mix_seed_sowing_and_hopefully_growing/ ) so figured I'd do an update:
So far it's been interesting. I've had 5 out of the 14 seeds germinate (2 of those today). I experimented with having the day and night temperatures more than 5F different vs having them approx the same and it didn't seem to make a difference. Also last week the first seedling to germinate randomly fell over and died (I didn't move the container and I didn't see any evidence of fungus or rot). I've grown enough things from seed to know that that sometimes happens for no reason but I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on the remaining 4.
They're currently near a south window but positioned so they mostly get direct sun in the afternoon/evening and indirect but bright light the rest of the day, and I have been opening the lid for about half an hour a day so they get some good air exchange.
