  1. The fence is not going to stop the problem. Get to the root cause and Stop the people doing the stealing.

  2. 1 year to work out the details for installing a fence? 😅😅
Stop paying taxes right now! They are wasting your money!

  3. This is how government gains the trust and respect of it's subjects aka citizens, NOT!!!
Job with material prob cost under 1K but CC going spend 75K and take 2 years after conducting one thorough study with paid 7 expert panel.

  4. The lesson is that plants that bear food and medicine should be abundantly grown throughout the islands. Grow it at every public park and down streets next to sidewalks. It would also create more jobs which is easier for

The government taxes everyone on several levels. Taxes on wages, property, items, groceries, medicine, services, and the list is endless. Pick one and leave the rest with the people who are earning. People didn't wake up one day and say to themselves let's be homeless and steal from others. The system is demoralizing most to become psychologically disparage.

  5. It’s a community garden at a community district park, it’s public land, it’s meant for everyone, it shouldn’t be rented out to certain people for private use anyways.
Just allow the entire community to plant there and take from it, for free and lock it up at night so the tweakers no make all lepo kine at night.

Besides, it’s food, if they’re stealing it, I gotta imagine they need it more than you anyways. Give them some seeds, let them plant over there too. Theyll feel a sense of pride and ownership over it and theyll take better care of it & they may even protect it at night from other homeless people.

  6. They should install a surveillance camera trailer (which HPD uses to deter car vandalism), to identify or deter those thieves.

  7. Peace only works as good as you can defend it. Sitting in a circle singing kumbaya doesn’t stop the invading horde coming over the hill. But don’t worry, judge Slakamoto and prosecutor Heone Goodbrudda will make sure the perpetrator, I mean houseless victim, gets plenty supplies and advocacy before returning them to steal, I mean borrow, again. The people that vote are getting exactly what they permit.

  8. Grow poison ivy along the perimeter. Except the entrance where there's a motion cameras that can only be turned off by those with access to the cameras.

  9. The stolen plants will not survive. God is the creator of our soil and he decides what is pono and what will grow. Plants grown with no Aloha or Pono will not grow.

  10. I heard they are currently doing research to find the best company go do the environmental impact study to determine the best way to proceed with the engineering process before the planning department can do the necessary research studies to figure out the best way to address the possibilities of weather rebuilding the old fence with new materials or building a new fence with old materials in an effort to maintain the esthetic appeal or replace it with a new concept that would better serve the needs of the community.
That should take care of first 10 or 20 million dollars and then they can start the process of figuring out where to get the money to fix or replace the fence. The whole process is expected to take less than 10 years.

  11. I grew up farming, people stole, it makes you question if you're wasting your love, time and life nurturing a plant to maturity just for someone to come take it again. Kills you inside to be nervous doing something you love. The needles being found, or human feces in the rows should have been the moment the fence was put up. Heartbreaking to see them treated like this. Pushed back and ignored.
