Back for its 58th year, York Home and Garden Show officials introduce new events and hands-on activities for guests.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A long-running and community favorite event officially returns to the York Expo Center for its 58th year.

The York Home and Garden show features hundreds of local vendors and educational programs.

“It feels great. This is the longest running home and garden show, and it’s run locally by the York Builders Association,” said Executive Vice President, Laurie Lourie.

New this year is the Do-It-Yourself Marketplace, which offers discounted home improvement materials and products donated by local contractors.

Also new are the workshop zones, which offer candle-making and crafts.

“We do have a couple little workshops that you can make some crafty items, and the children can as well, so there’s a couple of stations set up throughout the show we have candle making as well,” Lourie said.

Guests will have the chance to sit through new demonstrations, including an event by Susquehanna Service Dogs on Saturday, a presentation on alpacas, and a Planet Propagation presented by Penn State Extension Master Gardener John Geoghan on Sunday.

“We have a lot of sessions and workshops for everyone, and we do have the alpacas coming on Saturday that we’re super excited about from noon till three,” Lourie said.

While the event is meant to empower homeowners with ideas for their next home project, organizers say the event is fun for the entire family.

“It’s for the whole community. If you own a home if you’re thinking of getting a home or you just want to get out from being inside with this cold weather will definitely welcome you in cause there’s lots to see it,” Lourie encouraged.

The 2026 York Home and Garden Show runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

“You can go online at York Builder.com or go to a Traditions Bank they do have free comp tickets available at the bank,” Lourie said.
