Wrabness in Bloom was founded last week to provide an opportunity for residents to enjoy gardening whilst also supporting pollinators, birds, and insects.

The group is inviting residents to take part in the new initiative of adding colour to the village with plants, flowers and shrubbery.

Organiser Danielle Williams said: “Wrabness in Bloom is about enjoying the natural world at your own pace and reflecting the wonderful community spirit in our village.

“It’s about working with nature, supporting bees, insects, butterflies and birds, and letting the village bloom naturally.”

To join the group plant something in your garden using the blue and white colour palette inspired by the Stour, sky and shoreline.

The Royal Horticultural Society encourages villages to focus on planting that complements natural surroundings rather than formal or elaborate displays, so anyone can take part without expert gardening skills.
