The National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) organised its 282nd National Integration Monthly Garden Natak Mela here in association with the Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust. The event was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

Padma Shri awardee Pran Sabharwal and State Awardee Sunita Sabharwal led the programme. The mela was inaugurated by a presidium comprising prominent personalities, including Mala Gopal, Akshay Gopal, principal architect LR Gupta, Dharampal Singh Chauhan (retired SBOP manager and Director, Royal Ark, Himachal Pradesh), Jasbir Singh Oberoi and GS Kakkar.

Lauding NTAS for completing 25 years of the Monthly Garden Theatre Movement with 282 editions, Dharampal Singh said it recognises Pran Sabharwal’s 70 years of contribution to the socio-theatre movement.
