A major limb of this small apple broke under the weight of all the apples last fall. To be fair, it did not appear to be a fresh break but it is worse now with the limb on the ground. It has buds and seems to be getting ready to produce again this summer. It there anything I can do to help it out?

If it were my tree, I’d cut it all clean off just below the unions and immediately top graft onto the remaining stump (when the weather is right for it) Not the easiest thing to do but the best chance of a second lease on life if successful.
