Advice needed about curled leaves and suckers

I’ve had two new African violets since mid Dec. One has new leaves that are very curled coming out. I’m not sure what the cause of that would be? Additionally, I’m not sure if both plants have suckers growing and should be removed or this is normal growth? Thanks
