There was an area in our Texas garden that was shaded from chinquapin oak, soapberry, and red oak trees and looked a little neglected. We transformed that area into what we called, the sunken garden. We added hostas, coralbells, ferns, colocasia, sedge, abelia, and aspisdra in the shady parts, and roses for the sunny areas. It was so peaceful and became my favorite part of the garden.
