If you have a tight fit between your pot and your planter, this simple DIY Handle is my favorite solution for my semi-hydro and soil setups.
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Prep the Pot: Ensure the outer rim of your nursery pot is clean and dry so the adhesive sticks properly.
The Material: I use clear or electrical tape. The goal is to create a 'tab' that is strong enough to hold the weight of wet substrate (like Pon or chunky mix).
Placement: Attach one strip on each side of the pot, creating a small loop or tab that sits just above the rim. Attach a horizontal strip to future proof the tab.
As you can see in the video, it allows you to lift the entire plant without ever touching the foliage or stressing the base.
Once you tuck it back into the decorative planter, the handles are practically invisible, keeping the focus on your beautiful plant.
It’s a small change that has made my daily rounds so much smoother. No more 'stuck' pots or accidental leaf breaks.
