This is the first aquarium jar I’ve made. Used soil in the bottom with a gravel cap. I have a Java moss on a lava rock a Java fern in the back and sagittari on the ground. Rate my setup for shrimp
Looks good, my fern ended up melting out pretty quickly in mine. I think your shrimp will do just fine
I put a small air stone in mine with a micro compressor, I have an inline valve that lets me control the air flow, so it’s just a trickle of bubbles to break the surface tension and allow gas exchange.
I would also recommend putting it on a lazy Susan, it’s nice to be able to spin it around and see different angles.
