LITTLE ROCK — Once the snow and ice get out of here this week, the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research and Extension Service said garden growers can begin getting their beds started for the spring season.

The Extension Service has released its monthly garden guide, which shows what vegetables and flowers can be successfully grown starting in the month of February.

Those vegetables include strawberries, carrots, peas, spinach, onions, greens, beets, turnips, radishes, and many more. Sweet pea flowers can also be planted starting this month.

More information about February gardening in Arkansas is available on the Extension Service’s website.
