As spring is almost upon us, residents are invited to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a walk among the flowers of a Southwell estate.
Nottinghamshire’s National Garden Scheme will see Norwood Park take part in the first Open Gardens of 2026 later this month.
On Sunday February 22, the Southwell park will be open for guests to enjoy the first buds of spring. The West Pavilion leads into the Lime Avenue where the snowdrops and daffodils will be in full bloom.

Walk among a beautiful classical house, a lime avenue, an ornamental temple, fish ponds, and a walled garden, then venture through the trees, along the deer park boundary, and up Mrs Delaney’s sinuous path to the impressive Temple.
Guests can also enjoy the apple orchards, and refreshments are available at the golf club.
The walk is approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour dependent on pace, and you are asked to wear suitable footwear as some of the paths can be muddy or uneven.
Dogs must be kept on a lead.
