Good to have a wee spend 😁 I got one of theese tray with three boxes! There great quality for the price 👍 I bought myself a set of led Batton lights to try. I did think about heat mats but thinking it’s only the chillies that need the heat 🤔 it’s my first year so am not quite sure…. Do you use heat mats for all your seedlings🤔 I had the family saving up loo rolls and have stuck them in polystyrene fish boxes 😁 was gonna use them for my beans and peas…. I have orderd some onion sets through the Alloments but was going to sew some onion seeds too. Us being up NE Scotland seem to have to wait a wee bit longer to sow 😪🤣

I love a bargain Terry, well done Mrs K for spotting them. I bought a plastic greenhouse from ikea just so i can get stuff out of my grow boxes in the shed, just so i can set some seeds away. I bought a set of 5 propagators with the built in lights last year but i havent used them yet. I have only ever grown Red Baron from sets once and the majority of them bolted, but the Stutgartter i planted i had no bolting at all. Looking forward to Saturday and Sunday. What a great shopping spree and not a penny wasted! Loved seeing what you got – pity we don't have an Ikea here…or maybe just as well. I haven't sown a thing yet but I was working in the garden today. I've had those red baron onions before and they are ok, not the best but then again, I don't do so well with onions for some reason.
Nice bit of kit. I like the IKEA greenhouses, in particular the solid shelf. I also like the red flowers on the broad beans. Not bothered about the seed. Dinky lighting system 👍. Hi Terry, the small plastic greenhouse tents are good value. I had one inside my allotment greenhouse for about 4 years before the zip parted with the cover. Was from Wilko but they changed the size on redesign before they closed. Still got frame and a job on the to-do list is to permanently clad it with polycarbonate and self tappers. It maybe worth considering a thermostat plus with a sensor lead inside the tent together with a trailing socket outside. Should bring your season on a good few weeks 👍🏻

I was outside today weeding lettuce in my cold frame it was 52° F , last week it was down to 18°F .the warmer temperatures are great. You got some great bargains 😊

The staggering amount you've saved on compost over the years more than justifies this little luxury upgrade. Would be interesting to see a rough estimate of how many litres of compost you've made over the years expressed in todays retail prices. My latest catalogue is trying to flog 40 litre bags for £19 each!!!

I wonder if the winter blues have us all spending money on the garden. I had a bit of a binge last week buying my favorite potting mix from a local big box store where it was on sale online and free delivery.!😊 Saved time and no standing in line and loading and unloading. I bought propagators and small pots and grow bags and gloves and .. .😊
