Last year I had what I thought were African Lillies all over my yard. I thought I got rid of most of them before laying sod. I have this one section where this keeps popping up. They seem to be so deep that I haven’t been able to dig down low enough to get them and end up just making a huge hole in my grass. Is there a way to get rid of this? In Northern California.

Could swab the leaves with glyphosate
You could try a cut and paint method with something like Triclopyr, We mix it and a high rate with diesel for cut and paint, but I’ve heard you can also spry it with water/ wetting agent, so you could brush it on the leaves with a paint bush.
Works better than glyphosate to kill the underground parts.
I think picloram is also effective, along with metsulfuron.
I had to dig mine out. They’re 12-15 inches down.
Shovel..
It’s not rocket science
