I have a couple of big reds in my hedge (in different locations) that are starting to have yellowing leaves and dark brown spots (but looks different to rust?). They have regular power feed and slow release fertiliser.
I’m based in SEQ and we haven’t had too much rain so overwatering isn’t an issue. They are about 2 years old and this is the first occurrence

I think these may not be big red’s, which may affect what you need to do to fix them up
I don’t believe big red’s have a ‘saw tooth’ edge on the leaves
That’s not a Syzygium. Some kind of camellia or something
