Hey guys! Sorry if this is dumb, but I noticed all these white/silvery bugs crawling all over the soil to several of my houseplants (monstera, maidenhair fern, selloum, philodendron, alocasia)

First I think they gave my the wrong soil which they said was regular potting soil but marked as compost on the bag

I water the fern quite often but the others dry about to 3cm off the top. I've also had fungus gnats on some of my herb seedlings but they've been moved to my kitchen

Quick searches say they're springtails but idk. All my plants are on my TV console (thrifted and wasn't in perfect shape with vinyl pulling away at spots) and on wooden crates <2m furthest from my stacker doors (bright filtered sunlight) and I've seen them crawling around on the wood as well, though they stick to the soil generally and don't go up the leaves.

Please can someone give advice on how to identify and treat this because they're really a lot and I don't like finding them outside of the soil as well!
