A local man was left shocked after he glanced out his window to find a group of peacocks invading his neighbour’s garden in Oldham.
Charlie Cooper caught sight of the bizarre birds climbing all over next door’s car, before heading outside to investigate the scene. The travel vlogger discovered around ten peacocks wandering in the front garden and snapped some photos of the feathered visitors.
The 22-year-old shared the clip on TikTok, racking up more than 17,000 likes.
In the one-minute video, you can see Charlie attempting to feed one of the peacocks with one of them lunging at the crisp in his hand. Another can be seen showcasing its dazzling feathers.

Charlie told Whats The Jam that where he lives has become known as the ‘peacock estate’ because of the colourful, screeching birds which roam the area.
“The lady next door feeds them,” Charlie explained. “I was really shocked, as you can tell from the video.”

Viewers of the footage were left in stitches.
One local said: “They’re not anyone’s pets, they just wander around the estate. They come to my father-in-law’s for food sometimes and they sit on top of the roof.”

A second person said: “I would move out,” while another added: “They are cute until you have to dodge peacock poo every day.”
A fifth person said: “Don’t know why this is so funny.”
Musters of peacocks who flock to suburban UK areas have caused controversy in recent years.
Some Brits forced to live alongside them believe them to be pests, while others have called for them to be protected – particularly from angry neighbours.
