Rachel Veal, the conservation horticulturist at the N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island, will present the class. She holds a B.S. in horticulture from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from UNC Wilmington, with professional experience in landscaping, nursery production, environmental education and botany. Her passion is helping gardeners succeed in creating wildlife-friendly yards, as well as discovering new species in her own landscape each year.
