Hey there! My name is Abby and I recently bought a MAJOR fixer upper house. I am SO excited to work on fixing it up this old house and turning it into my dream home. I can’t wait to take you on this journey with me! I am planning to DIY as much as I can and learn so much about home renovations along the way. I am starting out totally clueless so I am sure it will be a grand adventure! Follow along on my channel if you want to see DIY projects, renovating a house on a budget, and I am sure a lot of craziness along the way! I’m just a girl with a drill and a dream.

  1. I see the next "Martha Stewart" in the making! I have followed you from the start and deeply admire your spirit. A Grandma Susan from North Carolina.

  2. Just hint when you are soaking your foam do it with water with food packets that came with the flowers… lol was typing cut at 45 degree angel and you said it… you are doing great!😊 also your main flowers which is your Gerber daisy in 3’s

  3. Abby. Some plants are developed to grow in different climates where they normally would not grow. Research is your best friend.😊

  4. The stick in the gerbet daisy item is there so it won't fall over. The flower is heavier than the stem.

  5. Buy an Amish build green house so you can keep plants in that aren,t for your area zone . Then in winter months may be put a heater in there to keep warm .

  6. Very nice Abby and as you do more flower arrangements they will be even more stunning. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I’m in ND (Zone 3). A few of my favorite perennials are delphinium, echinacea (purple coneflower), asters, sedum, yarrow, columbine, hardy geranium, dianthus, and daylilies. I also love campanula, bee balm, coreopsis, penstemon and astilbe but they don’t always make it through the winter for me. Cosmos are the sweetest looking annuals and easy to grow. Have fun, Abby!

  8. Abby it turned out well,I think you could have put a taller flower in the middle of your arrangement. But as you say you like it and that’s all who matters.Try looking up gardening cut flowers for your arrangements….i have grown straw flowers they are great you will enjoy them.Happy flower arranging.🥰🌺🌺

  9. Fill in with the
    Greenery first
    Abby, then your
Pops of color. You need the
    Different hts of
    The green an the
Larger wider color or both. 😊😊😊😊

  10. Later on take a
    Floral class on
    A day off. It's not
    As easy as you
    Think. But I live
    Yours you just
Created, very lovely. I love the
    Real deal. An you
    Can grow your
    Own.😊😊😊😊🎉

  11. Beautiful first try! That's why you need bushes and trees that you can also have fresh vasas in the winter.😊

  12. Lilies are extremely toxic to cats. All parts of the plant (leaves, petals, pollen, vase water). I was planning on planting them, but my cat is indoor/outdoor so I passed on those. Regenerative and Garden Answer are both excellent channels for flowers. The zinnias will blow you away. They are amazing and have a good vase life.

  13. I have learned a lot from Flower Hill Farm in New York State in starting seeds for my home garden. Trying sweet peas this year for the first time too. Lisianthus take forever but so worth it!

  14. PG here, I love how you complement your work as you go along. You can not have someone like a school teacher watching over your shoulders, complimenting you, giving you self-worth and value. But if it is good, say so. If it's bad, say so. It is an internal encouragement, and you strengthen yourself to live as an individual. You won't "need" people to compliment you. (Just explaining the compliment, I'm sure you understand already. You do it. We are at the end of the video. I was going to say, "it is beautiful," when you said it! LOLOLO. It is beautiful! Good Job! It was heart-shaped. For Valentine's Day! Doollies or coasters to protect the furniture? (I wasn't sure how to spell it? Doilies (often affectionately referred to as "doolies" or by various spellings like doily, doiley, or doyly) are ornamental mats typically crocheted, knitted, or made of paper that serve to protect fine-wood furniture from scratches, water rings, and stains. When placed under vases, bowls, or lamps, they provide a protective, decorative layer that allows the surface of the underlying table to show through via their openwork design. Maybe a viewer will send you one. Not me. I never learned to be proficient at knitting and crocheting.

  15. Look up leucadendron. The foliage that you didnt know what it was looked like some leucadendron we have in New Zealand.

  16. Hi there,
I loved your episode today. I tried to grow cosmos last year and it didn’t work. I’d love to know what you found in your research on how to grow them successfully.

The one article I read was you could just place the seeds where you want them, cover with dirt (not too deep) and water. I did that but nothing came up. I live in Albany, NY, zone 6a or 6b. I’d love to know some gardening secrets.

  17. Abby, I watch a lady in England who is a flower grower. It is Common Flower Farm. She gives great advise on sewing seeds, arrangements etc! I think you might like just taking a look at her channel on you tube.😊❤

  18. Love your great and many talent's Abby . Go Young lady you do a fantastic job . Come on Spring Abby and friends are waiting to see the beauty of things lovely .
