Several months ago, a big leaf maple fell on my property and left a huge snag in a nearby tree. I would like to keep the tree that holds the sang, but I don't really see a safe way to get this thing out of there. It seems to be solidly wedged in there and is not in immediate danger of falling.
Any ideas? Sorry the photos aren't great.

Is this directly near anything that it might hit on the way down? If not just leave it and be extremely cautious around the tree, especially during storms/wind events
Personally I would use a throw line, pull in a larger rope and yank. Preferably 50 to 60 ft away.
Maybe pepper it with some buckshot?
How high up is it? Throw line, attach a rope and yank. Would try before felling because there’s a good chance thats a more dangerous option than just leaving it.
Rent a cherry picker so you can reach it
