There's two Rosemary plants potted with a basil, I have the seed but these are store bought plants the soil is dry but I watered and fertilized when I repotted why are my leaves dying? Thanks.

    Most of the die because they get too wet, they need sandy/stony ground and drainage. Water must be drained well, your pot should have enough holes in the bottom. I nearly lost a large plant in the garden. After planting in a mix of humus/sand/gravel athird each in an elevated spot it grew well.

    It’s hard to get rosemary through the winter here in zone 5. I’ve found a grow light helps. You’ve got to stay on top of the soft bodied insects that make little fuzzy nests with silky threads and water carefully with the rinse water from your coffee pot – generally twice a week – while avoiding overwatering. And as another commenter said you should have a well draining pot.
