Is it just that they are rare, interesting and beautiful? That's plenty of allure.

I have this pup that is displaying variegation at the tip, the only one of numerous clones I have that are exhibiting this.

If I cut off the variegated tip and grow it as its own plant, is it likely to continue to display this feature? Anyone know?

    You can try and isolate the variagation by grafting a section of variagation and getting it to pup

    Its like Pokémons you got to catch em all, you can graft the top tip so yo dont lose the variegation on that plant and the bottlom cut into 2 or 3 pucks and graft them so you have 4 or 5 variegated cacti

    Part of collecting and some folks like the look. The ones that are really marbled are the ideal ones so you can see why people like them.

    I think theyre neat but personally they arent worth the insane price hike in some cases.
