The BC Home and Garden Show is back for its 53rd annual run from March 12 to 15 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Guests can expect four days of renovation inspo, design advice and just enough spring optimism to convince yourself that this is, in fact, the year you finally tackle that project.

Headlining the weekend is Kortney Wilson of Life Is Messy, with two talks rooted firmly in real life. Her presentation, “Designed to Stay, Styled to Sell: Life Is Messy, But Your Home Doesn’t Have To Be,” promises practical strategies for organizing space and making your home work better without pretending no one actually lives there.

“We are incredibly proud to bring another lineup of industry experts and household names to Vancouver who will provide attendees with real home advice for whatever project they’re tackling,” says Amber Beaton, show manager for Marketplace Events, in a release.

Beyond the main stage, the show leans into variety. The Cooking Stage will spotlight Vancouver culinary talent with live demos and local food chatter. The BC Hydro Learning Centre focuses on energy efficiency, conservation and smarter ways to run a home without wincing at your utility bill. Art and design lovers can browse the M(ART)ket for original local work, while the new Collective Markets pop-up offers a curated mix of emerging BC brands and small shops.

Garden season also gets a proper warm-up. The Garden Retail Market offers advice for everything from sprawling yards to tiny balconies, with plants and seeds available for purchase. And for something a little more unexpected, Paint with Purpose brings muralist Rachel Lyon and emerging artists onto the show floor to create live murals that will be donated to local charities.
