Been a planted freshwater tank owner and houseplant owner/ lover for years. I'm wanting to build my first terrarium with some of my stick/rock/plant collection. I was researching and noticed many people laying down a layer of activated carbon then a mesh layer. Which makes sense. My question is, if I have these mesh pouches full of activated carbon for my planted tanks, can I use these instead? Thank you in advance! Can't wait to dive in!

Yes, those work fine.
Yes, a lot of the fish carbon is higher quality than then horticulture stuff I have bought. I use red sea brand carbon in all my terrariums and invert housing.
