I’m not good with cacti but I would like to know why it’s growing in an odd shape and elongating its spines. The color is different too and I’m worried it could be dying?
It should be growing in a sunny window they require sun all day or they will stretch and reach for a window. Also, I would only water this every three weeks. A little bit when it gets yellow at the bottom sometimes it means the roots are going bad because it was overwatered. See if you could squeeze the yellow and see if it’s softer or hard if it’s soft it’s going bad.
