The Apple Tree Farm Shop at Brimsmore Gardens was named best food hall/best farm shop in the local garden centre category at the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) 60th annual conference.
The shop, part of The Gardens Group, stood out among competitors from across the UK.
The farm shop was praised for its “commitment to local sourcing”, with products mostly sourced from suppliers within a 25-mile radius, and its community-mindedness.
Its sustainability initiatives, including food waste reduction, solar panels, and eco-friendly packaging, were also commended.
The award, which was sponsored by Fieldfare, was presented on Monday, January 26, at Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire.
Brimsmore Gardens won another award in the local garden centre category, taking first place in the Christmas display competition.
In the same category, Brimsmore Garden also secured second place for catering, the Ian Boardman indoor plants cup, and the outdoor living award – best outdoor living retailer.
