Just got the Echo RB-60 and have heard of doing the zip tie mod to help the agitator perform more efficiently. I've seen a few variations but not sure which one everyone is referring to, so to double check, is this the correct zip tie mod for the Echo RB-60?
I just zipped it to the agitator base. Now it'll scrape up the walls and I don't have to shake and bake to get out the little that's remaining.

$150 and I need to install a zip tie for it to work right? Is it April fools?
Wut?
I would think the weight of product, especially loaded up with fertilizer, would pin it down and make the agitator not turn as smoothly.
Yeahhhh thst ain’t gonna work.

Needs to be a little shorter.
I modified mine and immediately realized the added drag was working against me. The wheels spin the agitator and since the agitator was bogging the spreader felt like I was moving 1 ton of fertilizer. Got it all spread and removed the modification.
