End of January 2026, and still planning for the new season. I want to create a small Arid bed for the Yucca Rostrata. It’s in a pot at the moment, but deserves a proud place in the centre of the garden. I’ve changed the shape of the bed, purchased the grit and now all that’s needed are some large stones to finish off the project….
I’ve been looking for some stones for a few weeks, Garden Centres are so expensive, asking £15 for 3. This week I was lucky to come across an old stone wall that was being demolished, and they said I could have the stones for FREE. Two car loads later, and I hope I have enough….
Join me, as I move things around in the garden, also getting ready for the delivery of a beautiful wooden Arbour, which should arrive soon…
All we need now, is some brighter weather, but don’t worry, spring is just around the corner…..

It’s great to see vim drinking from your wild pond. As my area has lots of water sources but Lacey’s favourite is in the hand basis in the bathroom.

Strange that, I live in Cwmbran South Wales and the Hellebores here are not nowhere near in bloom
Great to see the progress with the garden. Was looking at a variety of Nandina called Lemon and Lime wasn’t sure of the variety you have bought whether same one or not. Worth checking out though.
Another one called Moonbay is a new one looks great.
