We recently started to give my husband's very old Jade Plant more water (not excessive, soil is pretty firm, no soggy) I've noticed that a bunch of the leaves are looking translucent and potentially beginning to yellow. I'm worried we've hurt the plant. Any advice?

Does the pot have drainage holes? You should water the plant thoroughly but then let the soil dry out for several weeks.

When plants that haven’t been watering enough get losts of water some leaves take up too much and die off. They would have died off anyway. When I water I get it in the shower and drench it the let it dry out for 6-8 weeks depending on weather etc. that can go down but the point it to let it dry right out so it uses some of the water reserve

too much water, let it dry out. moving forward, only water it when several leaves are easily bent into a taco shell shape with your fingers.

When in doubt, err on the side of underwatering.
