hello all!
a very dear friend of mine passed away a little over a year ago and i am looking to get a tattoo in remembrance.
this is the closest i have to a clear image of his tattoo, i believe it could be a blue trumpet flower but wanted to get some other opinions before following through so it could be as accurate as possible.
although i can't provide location and don't want to disregard guidelines, he was very spiritual and respected Japanese artwork & culture if that's of any help.
i appreciate any input and assistance that anyone can offer

It reminds me of an Easter lily (Lilium longiflorum), native to Taiwan and Ryukyu.
They kind of resemble gentians, blue is a rare colour for flowers.
