She had an entirely yellow leaf at the base that I cut off and I’m looking for any tips so that doesn’t happen again. I got her off marketplace a little less than a year ago. I’m wondering why there are some dark green leaves, and then some lighter ones. They live in the same pot with the same soil, water, and light, so why the colour difference? Maybe the seller used two different mother plants? She used a SUPER well draining substrate, I have no idea what it is but it’s pretty chunky and the plant seems to like it (or not if that’s where the discolouration is coming from). By super well draining I mean, this is in a 4 inch pot and I put 2 tbsps of water and it goes STRAIGHT to the bottom of the decorative pot.
I’m thinking she might need more light? She sits about 1.5 meters away from a south facing window. I water (w added fertilizer) when dry, about 30ml of water. Sometimes I bottom water and fully saturate the soil and she seems to tolerate that too.
