Pink polka dot plants. I know they’re not some crazy intricate plant but i’ve never heard good stories from these, mine are thriving plus propagating is super easy/quick.
Please ignore the dirt everywhere, will get to it eventually 🤣

Once I figured them out, string of pearls. The secret is to make it think you hate it. Put it in a window and ignore it. Water it once a month or when the pearls are really shriveled. Mine is really thriving on regulated neglect, except my SOP doesn’t realize the neglect is regulated. I pretend it’s not good enough and it in return tries to please me. Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
Maidenhair Fern have had them for years. Nice you figure out the right spot and watering it pretty straight forward.

I have a Hoya cutting that has been with me since August. One of my first hoyas. I follow so many people talking about how many years it took to get their first peduncle. Lo and behold my surprise when I moved the plant that was in this corner!
String of pearls. I firmly believe that they’re super easy and hardy, you literally just need to get them into decent soil. People only struggle with them because they leave them in the straight peat they leave the nursery in, so no matter your watering frequency, they’ll stay wet way too long. Pop them in some succulent soil and water them when some of the pearls closest to the base of the strand are getting a smidge wrinkly, and they’re bomb proof.

Alocasia’s! I love them and they love me back lol

Maiden hair fern.
I got a self watering pot and put it in a my window that gets lots of indirect light. The thing exploded and was happy and beautiful.
Then my cat discovered it and has made it his life mission to destroy it. Mainly by laying on it and eating it. It is now a remnant of its former glory, up on my high window shelf and starting to recover.

Orchids. They just need a lot of attention

Hoya Kerrii. I have two, and they’re in a South-facing window. They need strong light, water when dry, and to be left alone. They’ve grown many leaves since I got them last summer.
Rogueshadow_32
Alocasia, idk if I happened upon a really easy variety (I just picked it up from lidl about a year ago because it looked nice) but I hardly water it, it doesn’t get great light, my room isn’t very warm most of the time.
And yet the main plant has 5 largish leaves it’s kept since summer with no sign of yellowing or dying back and two offshoots with 4 and 2 leaves each. It’s probably not especially happy but it’s trucking along just fine.

How long have you had your Lithops for?
Gorillaglue_420
Carnivorous plants.
All you have to do is use only peat and perlite, always leave in a plastic dish with rain or distilled water in it and give them really bright light. There is no guess work when it comes to watering which makes them really easy to care for.

Lipstick plant. I’m fairly new to houseplants and I’ve never really considered myself to have a green thumb. (I’ve killed bamboo…) But my lipstick plant is thick as hell and has just begun flowering.
Calathea. I keep it in my bathroom, drown it with filtered water once every 10 days, and otherwise ignore it.

Ok mine are avocado plants. I had to stop !! I have 7 at the moment. All are growing like crazy. I’ve even tried weird stuff to see if it’s not good for them. They all continue to grow like crazy. All in the last year. 😂😂 I live in a cold climate so they will all be indoor plants or at least brought in every fall. Not really thinking I could ever grow one since I tried a million times years ago.
hoyas! i have such good luck with them and they always flower 🙂 they’re the only plant i have that have actually flowered!
DarkJpgCz
Orchids, I just ignore them, and I have at least 10. They propagate on their own, and I just plant them in small pots. I love when they give me flowers.

“Easy” is subjective 🥴🤷🏼♂️ are they thriving? Yes. Do they still need crazy amounts of work even though i know what to do with them? Yes. 🌴

After some trial and error. Tacca’s! Tacca chantrieri (black) and Tacca integrifolia (white)
Ferns!!
African violets, it skipped a generation, my maternal grandmother always had them blooming too, but my mom can’t.

Alocasia and calathea
Orchids and cannabis. Many people seem to have issues with both, but ive never had a problem.
I love lithops, reminding the housemates to NOT WATER THEM is a full time job, however!
