I just brought home my first variegated frydek about a month or so ago, she was so big, full and beautiful!! 😩😩😩 She quickly turned into a mushy corm without any leafs! Mine looked the same as yours! I cut the last leaf, put her in some damp (not wet) moss in a little container cup with air holes, on top of a heating map and under a grow light. I also put just a cumbys type plastic cup over her for the added heat/humidity! It has been almost 3 weeks and she just started growing some good roots a week ago. I never make it this far, I get frustrated and chuck it. But, this is my favorite plant and was on my wish list for so long. I am so impatient when it comes to plants. I will be the first to tell you that this plant will not be saved without patience!
