Back with my neglected leggy Pothos.. and I’ve never done this before.
I’m wanting to make a hanging basket but I want it to be fuller than what Im working with I chopped it up already but I’m wondering if I can put the parts with leaves I chopped up into the new pot or should I propagate it in water first? -2nd photo
Also have this long piece with 5(?) nodes. Can I prop that separately in some moss? -last photo
Thank you for any advice!

I would propagate in water first so it can establish strong roots. If you’re wanting a bushy plant, you can cut those bigger sections up even more so that each cutting has 1-2 leaves. I find that they do better when they are smaller. I personally cut mine to have only one node per cutting.
I would chop the top with leaves, put it in water and circle the bare vine into the soil. Same with the smaller vine.
I’d put them all in water. Just a warning though, scindapsus take a LONG time to root.. Mine usually take 6 months or more before they have enough roots for potting up, so don’t give up on them if it looks like they’re not doing anything! The one without the leaves will eventually grow new leaves too. 🙂
Like others have said, propogating in water is quickest and easiest way to establish routes. Use some glass jars so you can see those roots grow, it’s so fun to watch! (Add a grow light or put in a sunny spot to speed this process up)
After that get some sphagnum moss and keep them wet, it’s like magic and helps the roots transition from water roots. Sphagnum moss is also a great medium to propagate those bare stems straight into.
