It was one of those mellow winter days where the garden feels warm and everything just looks pretty. I finally tackled my snapdragons, took a bunch of cuttings and got them tucked under a humidity dome in the greenhouse. After that we headed up front for a big clean up that was long overdue. We pulled annuals, cleared the planters, trimmed things back and got the whole area reset for winter. It looks a little empty now, but it feels so good to have it all tidy again. A simple garden day, but such a satisfying one.

Do you walk the dogs to keep them in shape?
Consider painting the fertilizer can a similar red to the soil bin so that they coordinate ๐
Never started snapdragons this way, definitely going to try.
Robbie thanks for the snap dragon tips. Maybe paint the trash can with some pretty flowers on it๐
Can't wait for you to get a proper garden bench to work at.
I just was looking at Karl Foerster grass. I was recently in Utah and saw it for the first time. It was so pretty. Upright and the seed heads were beautiful. Theyโd be great in floral arrangements. I had to back up the video and make sure I heard you correctly, because yours are a completely different shape. Have you grown them before when they grew more tall and narrow?
Hopefully this was filmed before your big Reindeer blowup was put out. Itโs missing from your decorations! ๐
Robbie, arenโt you concerned about the rust and metals contaminating your soil? Perhaps leaving it in the bag it came in inside the waste can would be a safer idea. Iโm a chemist and that really worries me, even though I know you mostly donโt grow edibles, Iโd still be worried about those metals throughout the garden. You never know what future you might want to grow, and where.
I had no idea you could propagate snaps- so cool! ๐Rachelle
I have a suggestion for your fertilizer trash can. Spray paint it white……I think it would look great with the white greenhouse.
๐
Hi, Love watching you guys! I was wondering…Do you have jumping worms in the front?
Have you shared where your white garden arch is from at the front of your house? Or is it custom? I really like how wide it is
You put moisture in a metal can. Robbi, that is not going to least. (sad)
I did not know you could propagate snapdragons – thank you for showing us!
Love when Brent is in your videos. You two work so very well together. Precious Freya really wants to be outside the gate.๐

Iโm so happy Brent is getting more comfortable on camera. You two make an amazing team โค. You now make me want to go clean up my garden hahaha
Everything looks so nice and fresh! As much as I love color, clean up is refreshing to me. I had to laugh when you mentioned that you have a hailstorm on your birthday every year. I have a weather problem with my birthday. Every November 30th (in Chicago) I get an overcast day. I crave to have sun on my birthday. This year I was heard and we had a gloriously sunny day! What a gift!
I love snapdragon. Thus reseed for me. The trouble is that they sprout so small and then just sit there – at least form me. Good luck with cuttings. Iโve not that anymore.
The clean up looks great! Itโs just part of gardening that needs to happen!!!!๐ชด๐ณ๐ฟ๐๐
Looks great! Love Freya
