I had some rooted cuttings given to me and a lot of the leaves died off but I had long strands. I was advised on Reddit to loop them into the pot and they would root, and I didn’t need to cut them up. Now it looks like this. There are leaves at 5 or 6 spots, but I have these huge long strands that aren’t doing anything. Do I just leave it as it is? Cut out the parts that aren’t doing anything? Any other ideas?

Good lighting and patience.
Took some time for mine to finally start putting out new leaves on top.

Yes, I believe they will sprout! Like the other commenter posted, good lighting (bright indirect) and patience! Check out YouTube for some good videos, as well, on this subject!!!
I recently noticed full adult thrips and realized I had the larvae and didn’t know it. Was kind of devastated but I’m picking myself up and trying not to be too harsh on myself. I use spinosad Captain Jack’s Dead Bugs Brew now and also, the Bonicide (which makes captain jacks) Houseplant Systemic Granules. I’ve just started the process and I’m trying not to toss all my beloved plants. Then, there’s the question of doing a diluted fertilizer. You can find good info on all this here and on YouTube to keep everything at its best! It seems that several leaves have a couple holes. I would cut those off, personally.
