Police have cordoned off Alvanley Gardens, near Finchley Road, after the knife incident yesterday (January 29) at 4.30pm.

A man in his 20s was found with injuries both to his neck and leg and he was taken to hospital, where he is said to be in a life-threatening condition.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

However, a crime scene remains in place in the area near to Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At around 16:30hrs on Thursday, 29 January police responded to reports of a stabbing on Alvanley Gardens, Camden.

“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance service, attended the scene and found a man in his 20s with injuries to his neck and leg. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed as life-threatening.

“No arrests have been made at this early stage, and a crime scene remains in place.”
