The Sugar River Gardeners club is inviting community members to an event with City of Verona Parks and Urban Forestry Director Mark Wegner on Thursday, Feb. 5.
This is an opportunity to meet Wegner and hear about the goals of the parks department to continually maintain and improve the growing park system. Verona already has 25 parks and four conservancy/special use areas.
Wegner will share his vision as Verona’s new director, a position he’s held since July 2025. Refreshments will be served.
