When the Jonas Brothers performed at the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview in August, youngest brother Nick must have taken a liking to Syracuse. In fact, he enjoyed the city so much that he’s returning the love with an exclusive preview for local fans.
is set to release his fifth solo studio album, “Sunday Best,” on February 6. To celebrate the drop, he is hosting early listening sessions in only nine cities across the country—and you bet Syracuse made the cut.
On Sunday, Feb. 1, there will be an early album listening party for Nick’s “Sunday Best” at the Sound Garden in Syracuse. The free event will start at 6 p.m. No RSVP is necessary.
“Come out THIS Sunday for an early listening of@nickjonas new album “Sunday Best”! Get the opportunity to listen to the album FIRST and get a chance to win exclusive prizes,” wrote the music store on Instagram.
In addition to Syracuse, early listening parties will be held at the Sound Garden’s Baltimore location, as well as select record stores in West Babylon, NY; Orlando, FL; New York, NY; Miami, FL; Las Vegas, NV; Chandler, AZ; and Tucson, AZ.
According to Nick’s official website, “Sunday Best” will deliver an “unguarded, fresh sound from Nick” that is “built largely around acoustic guitar and piano, choirs and a string quartet; coupled with raw, self-examining lyrics.” The album features the lead single, “Gut Punch,” which was released on Jan. 1.
In the introspective track, the 33-year-old reflects on his self-image and his role as a husband to Priyanka Chopra and father to their daughter, Malti Marie.
