Help a friend out! Rescued this plant from a shop

Hey! So I went into a shop yesterday and they had this plant that looked like it was dying, brown leaves, slowly falling down and completely dried out.

I watered good yesterday and this morning left it in a bowl of water to help rehydrate it.

The leaves are all shrivelled and brown in places, the stems seem weak and falling down. I tried to tie it up against the poll.

Anyone got any advice on what to do to help it?
