Rivalry games are just better, more passion, more at stake, and all the bragging rights on the table. JH Rose and South Central never fail at putting on a show when the two cross town foes go head to head. The first meeting went to the Rampants on the road, Falcons hoping to return the favor.
As the Falcons showed up feeling confident despite the packed atmosphere inside the garden with a rampant student student decked in a blackout theme.
#1 Kasyn Chase got the crowd going with this Kawhi Leonard rim drop and in, he was fired up.
Then the Falcons responded, #3 Zac Cailee with the three, nothing but Twine, then my oh my, #2 Amari Bennet had his defender slipping on ice. Ankles broken and knocking down the deep shot, staring him down as Falcon nation was going wild up in the stands. Robert Duck tried to make some adjustments against his former school he used to coach for, but despite an honorable comeback. South Central gets their revenge and splits the regular season series 1–1 with a road 73–61 victory.
As for the ladies, this wasn’t a close game. All Falcons as Natalia White on the fast break for two, then south central stripped the ball away leading to #2 Niyani Mayo on the defense to offense two pointer, #0 the letter Oh #0 Kaelyn Mccarter scored 15 as the Falcons won big 66–32, South gets the sweep Thursday.

Up in Bear Grass Ocracoke took the ferry to come take on the Bears. The theme for BGC was defense leads to offense. #1 Jamison Moore steal and 2, #0 Blake Jones steal and pump fake two, #2 Vance Keel steal and two for the football star. Luke Davis called timeout for his Dolphins to talk things over for adjustments. #23 MauGuerrero Perez three, #43 Uriah Johnson two from inbound pass, Nick Cumbee head coach shaking his head #1 Jamison Moore beats the buzzer as the Bears only lead by two at halftime 20–18 win big 56–29.
As for the Lady Bears, they were not camera shy making sure to say hello to the camera, slay queens I think as the long ball was working all day against Ocracoke. #2 Hylee Jarrett three, #10 Callee Perry long two, foot barely on the line. Then a fast break steal back up the floor to Ms. Jarrett. The Dolphins took a timeout and a water break rest for junior star 312 Jami Martinez she was the one scoring for Ocracoke, mid range jumper, or inside the lane, number 12 was on it, the Bears called timeout to regroup, but not worried as callee with a deep pass to #3 Auggie Dotson who went total flash mode to get it, and make it. Smiling and catching her breath as bear grass improves to 16–3 and undefeated in the Atlantic Conference.
