  1. Hi @HuwRichards ,
Trinidad Perfume are a staple in my household. They're absolutely delicious and beautiful too! They have no heat or very little (depending on how much you water them or not), plus they smell amazing! They're not big peppers at all, but you'll know they're on your plate.
Also, I find them vey finicky to grow. I've been growing them for 4 years now and I still can't get it right! Last year's heat was not good for them, but previous years cooler seasons weren't ideal either. The only year I've had an abundance of ripen ones was in 2022, I think, when we had a combination of hot and cooler weather, but the temperatures didn't go over 30 much (if at all).
Anyway, let us know how they do in your garden, please 😊
    Happy growing 😊

  2. We have um about 4 to 6 inches of icy snow pack on the ground right now, they saying we should not plan on it being gone any time soon. Everything is fozen, therefore i am not able to start a winter jug garden at this time

  3. When are you doing another live feed? I caught the last one, but I’m not sure if ive missed any or how to get a notification
    Thanks!

  4. My problem with your advice is why are you sowing too many seeds of one variety, advise people how to work out what they do eat.
My husband and I eat between us 1.5 brassicas a week. 1.5 lettuce and same for spinach/chard.

  5. Thanks for a very i formative video. I have never tried onion sets in modules – I’m going to try that soon. Then plant out.

  6. This Canuck now really wants a pair of 28H module trays. Containerwise doesn't appear to ship internationally. πŸ˜₯

  7. FYI: there's an increasing risk of a polar vortex (beast from the east) at the end of feb so hold off of anything that can't deal with a decent frost. We'll have a clearer pic of whats coming in a week or 2.

  8. Ugh, I did that like two seasons ago. Peppers and tomatoes. Because the year before I got on it too late. Neither one had tomato or pepper success. Partly lack of fertilizer was an issue too though.
Last year finally got some tomatoes but they didn't get enough sun and a lot didn't grow. Lol my granny just ended up eating them all. This year nervous for a greenhouse situation… winter collapsed mine. Snowed earlier than usual. But hoping to get everything out at the right time.

  9. Great timing on this! I'm planning my 2026 garden right now and French marigolds with strawberries is definitely on my list after years of testing what actually works. They really do help with root-knot nematodes. Solid advice here.

  10. In a totally different climate here in North Central Texas, but if we don't start tomatoes by the end of January we miss the tomato window – it gets WAY too hot, too soon here for tomatoes to make it into the summer. Even though we vary on dates, enjoyed the video as always!

  11. So, this is a cold climate video.

If I ain't planting my tomatoes at the beginning of Feb, I'm not getting them in the ground the beginning of Apr, or at least not at a size I want them to be at a min. Then I'm planting my peppers mid Feb to get some size on them before they go out the beginning of May, not that I have to wait for May because they could go out mid Apr, but the issue is I only have so many beds and other things are growing where those peppers will need to go.

So, tomatoes into a bed the beginning of Apr, and peppers into grow bags the beginning of May. I will get 6 months of growth on those peppers (end of Oct) and 7 months for the tomatoes, where some will grow most that time and some will get replaced (meaning I'm starting more the beginning of May).

Brassicas, lettuce, beets, spinach, carrots, radish, peas ALL go out in Feb. I really wanted them to go out the end of Jan but we had a cold spell and I'm not going to transplant or put seed in the ground during a cold spell.

  12. Urgh I should have just put my paprika seeds in a tray instead of individual blocks- noted for next year. Great video thanks Huw
