My mom has had this plant for years and doesn’t remember it ever doing this, I’ve been taking care of it at my place for a few months under some strong grow lights, just curious is that how it propagates instead of seeds? Don’t think I’ve seen this before, looks like roots coming out.

Also anyone know what plant this is?
Maybe mother of thousands
Probably Kalanchoe daigremontiana
It is indeed mother-of- thousands, Kalanchoe daigremontiana. You will have plenty to share!
MoT is a fun houseplant, but is a highly aggressive spreader for obvious reasons with the plantlets. Invasive in tropical areas.
They will happily grow in carpet, so I recommend keeping the plant indoors where it can be watched.
Its hard, but do not feel the need to try and keep the plantlets once they detach. The mother will keep producing….
The plants can flower as well, though the plantlet clones are much easier to propagate.
